Modified Bitumen

Modified bitumen is considered the evolution of the built-up roof system. It is a rugged, yet flexible waterproofing membrane made of asphalt (Bitumen) combined with polymerized rubber or plastic and reinforced with fiberglass. A modified system is most often seen on flat or low slop roofs.
